Produced by Spectrum Laboratory a non profit that creates original works of film, music and animation with autistic and neuro-divergent artists.
EAT THE RAINBOW: EAT THE RAINBOW is a musical fable about an odd yet kind man named Bayani who moves into a conservative suburban neighborhood and disrupts the otherwise comfortable homogeny. He doesn’t look or act like anyone else which causes fear and panic and eventually a demand for him to leave the neighborhood. Cousin Wonderlette befriends Bayani and together they take on the opposition led by manipulative and unscrupulous realtor Lobelia Gerber.
HOMO SAPIENS: On a subway car, a gay man comes face to face with his internalized fear of rejection.
LOVE KNOWS NO GENDER: Why there is always a prince and a princess? Why two princesses cannot marry? This short film is about a girl who is set to be married. Following the society norms, she is afraid to tell her family that she loves her best friend, that she is a lesbian. What happens when the news comes out on the day of the marriage? After all, 'We don't fall in love with the gender, we fall in love with a person.'
THE LONELY PRINCE: A lonely Prince, drowning in melancholy, invites a Sculptor to his court to create a piece of art just for him. As the Sculptor spends his days chiseling away on a block of marble, the Prince too discovers a new side of himself, for a brief moment forgetting the world of solitude that surrounds him.
UNCANNY VALLEY: "Uncanny Valley" is the story of Kim and her trusty gay best friend, Ira. Ira is the the most perfect friend anyone could ask for. He's there when you need a shoulder cry on, he's there when you just need a laugh. He always comes prepared with the perfect catty quip. Above all, Ira is fiercely loyal and will never leave your side. Their close friendship is put to the test when Ira meets and falls hard for the handsome Louis. Secrets are revealed, leading up to a shocking twist. "Uncanny Valley" was shot entirely using green screen technology, a campy sci-fi satire about gay men and the women who love them. Think "Sex & the City" meets "Black Mirror" by way of John Waters.
